Word to the wise: although FedEx Ground is significantly cheaper than FedEx Express, and can sometimes get your package to its destination just as quickly, you can’t drop a FedEx Ground package at any old FedEx service location. You can’t utilize their handy drop boxes, I don’t even think you can take it to the 9pm close office at the airport. (It’s the latest dropoff spot in Boston. I know. I’ve researched) FedEx Ground facilities are few and far between, my friends. Few and far between.

In the end, I shipped out my camera via USPS. All the tracking , full insurance, overnight delivery, all for the low low price of $40.07. FedEx Ground would have been $29.05. Ah, well.
